FreePaw

Our project team, FreePaw, aims to construct a dog wheelchair using a combination of 3D printed and non 3D printed parts. We are working with Dharma Rescue Shelter in Torrance, California. Dharma Rescue utilizes wheelchairs to rehabilitate disabled dogs that struggle with problems ranging from paralysis to amputations to autoimmune diseases. We are currently working on constructing a wheelchair for a French Bulldog named Frenchie. Using SCAD programming, we have adapted an existing model to meet the dimensions for Frenchie. We are now in the process of printing the parts and constructing the wheelchair. We plan to go to Dharma in the following weeks to test the wheelchair with Frenchie.
